Bio
Hi, I'm Stephanie. I’m a doctoral candidate in the Family and Human Development program at Arizona State University. Broadly, I'm interested in exploring factors that influence social-emotional development in adolescence.
Research
My research currently focuses on the impact of peer victimization on adolescents' well-being and academic adjustment. For example, I'm currently investigating how appraisal processes related to peer victimization affect children's academic adjustment.

Projects
BullyBlocker
While earning my master's degree, I was a graduate researcher on the BullyBlocker Project headed by Dr. Yasin N. Silva and Dr. Deborah L. Hall. During my time on this project, I worked with other members of the psychology team to investigate which behaviors promote parent-child communication that fosters safe online behaviors. The results of our investigation were then used to develop an action-based app for both parents and teens.
To find out more about the BullyBlocker Project check out their website here.
